In Debden Park High School “leaders have successfully established a school where high aspirations and excellence are the norm, and where pupils and staff enjoy coming to work….  The buzz, enthusiasm and energy from staff at all levels is palpable”

 Ofsted January 2017

We are looking to appoint a driven and exceptional practitioner who will join a highly successful, enthusiastic and talented team to inspire our students’ love of learning through a lead role in the delivery and development of English. The successful candidate will be leading the development and implementation of a curriculum that challenges and engages every student, develops a love of learning Literature, and ensures all students make outstanding progress, from KS3 to KS5. There can also be opportunities to teach Media and Film at KS4 and KS5 if that suits the candidate’s interests and experiences. This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious professional, perhaps looking for their first full-time teaching position.

Debden Park High School is a heavily oversubscribed Academy that Ofsted judged to be Outstanding in January 2017. We constantly achieve outstanding outcomes for our students.

We have a passionate and energetic English team, who work collaboratively, are well resourced and dedicated to developing the full potential of our students. The successful candidate will join an already outstanding team and will be someone who is visionary, innovative and committed to moving learning forward in an exciting and active way.

We are part of a family of schools within the Kemnal Academies Trust. Every week staff take part in 2 hours of Debden Minds which is a bespoke CPD programme focusing primarily on the development of teaching & learning. We provide exceptional career progression for staff, which leads to our Middle and Senior Leadership teams being composed of many teachers who began their career with us. We lead the Essex hub of the TKAT SCITT.
