teaching school

At Debden Park High School “leaders have successfully established a school where high aspirations and excellence are the norm, and where pupils and staff enjoy coming to work…The buzz, enthusiasm and energy from staff at all levels is palpable”.

(Ofsted, January 2017).

We are delighted to announce that Debden Park High School has been awarded Teaching School status and following our Ofsted 'Outstanding' judgement of January 2017, will now be a hub for the TKAT School Centred Initial Teacher Training Programme

As we seek to develop our already outstanding school, we are looking for motivated, ambitious and highly skilled individuals who wish to enter teaching. We are offering the rare opportunity of a series of paid positions at our school or at our partner schools (King Harold in Waltham Abbey and Hylands in Chelmsford), where you will ‘learn to teach on the job’ in supportive and stimulating environments, as well as 'unsalaried' positions across a full range of subjects. This 'learning on the job' will be underpinned by a weekly training day delivered by our outstanding and experienced practitioners at Debden Park High School.

If you are interested in training with us then please email jo.fogg@tkat.org who will guide you through the application process or, if you would like to arrange a visit to our school, please contact AHogan@dphs-tkat.org.

Please also come along to our opening day on December 1st. Register by following the link below.
