Key Dates for Year 12 Students/Parents/Carers

12th June – Official Start of Year 13.

This marks the start of teaching of the Year 2 element of the A Level syllabus.   Students must continue to attend all subjects they have been examined in, until the end of this academic year.

14th June - Futures Evening.

This is the opportunity for parents and carers to become familiar with the events and expectations of year 13, including the launch of UCAS and how to write exceptional personal statements. There will also be speakers from a local business that offers apprenticeships and sponsored degrees.

23rd June – UCAS conference in the Docklands

All year 12 students will visit the exhibition during our INSET day to engage with admissions tutors and universities about the courses and accommodation available post sixth form.

17th – 21st July – Work Shadowing

This is a perfect chance to add value to a personal statement. It reveals how resilient students are at finding a worthwhile place whilst also gaining experience to support future applications for university or for the world of work. All students are expected to be involved.
