Full Time Permanent

In Debden Park High School “leaders have successfully established a school where high aspirations and excellence are the norm, and where pupils and staff enjoy coming to work….  The buzz, enthusiasm and energy from staff at all levels is palpable”.

Ofsted January 2017

Due to the expansion of our school, we are looking to appoint an exceptional professional who will join a highly successful, enthusiastic and talented team and work with us to inspire our students. The role will involve leading the delivery of KS5 Mathematics. Specific duties will include leading on the development and implementation of the new A Level curriculum to ensure all groups of students make maximum progress. This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious professional who has the drive to transform learning and go ‘beyond outstanding’.

Debden Park High School is a heavily oversubscribed Academy that Ofsted judged to be Outstanding in January 2017.  Our students constantly achieve outstanding outcomes and we are very proud of their successes. Our new Sixth Form opened in September 2015 and moved into its own building in September 2016. The Sixth Form currently has 130 students in it and is growing year on year.

Maths is an extremely popular and successful subject at GCSE and A Level.  Last year 17% of our students achieved a grade 9-7, 54% 9-5 at GCSE and 60% of students achieved a grade A*-B at A Level.  We have a passionate and energetic Maths team, who work collaboratively together.  We are well resourced and dedicated to developing the full potential of our students. The successful candidate will join a Team Leader and a KS3 and KS4 coordinator in Mathematics, and will be someone who is visionary, innovative and committed to moving learning forward in an exciting and active way.
