Homework provides a vital opportunity for students to consolidate their work in lessons and ensure they make progress across all subjects. When done successfully, research from the Education Endowment Foundation suggests that it can be lead to the equivalent of 5 additonal months progress per year.
To ensure its success, students at Debden Park can expect to receive homework regularly:
- at Key Stage 3 approximately 3 times per term from Core subjects, and 2 times per term from Foundation subjects
- at Key Stage 4 a minimum of 3 pieces per term per subject.
As of November 2017, teachers at Debden Park will be setting homework tasks and resources in the smarthomework app.
Students can access smarthomework via the link below or through their online dashboard, which is available by clicking on the 'Google Classroom' link from the 'Login' drop down menu.
Parents can also view a student's account by logging in through the smarthomework portal via the link below. From here, select Debden Park High School from the drop down menu and enter your login details and PIN provided.
